THE SEDIMENT

The Sediment Tilburg was an experience space where art and waste converged. This temporary exhibition was open November 22–30, 2025. Location: Stadhuisplein 327 Tilburg.

During the week of November 22nd to 30th, 2025 – around Black Friday – artist and musician Rogier De Nijs and his team will open The Sediment: a pop-up experience space in Tilburg’s city center. Interactive art, music, and educational activities will highlight the impact of overconsumption and plastic waste.

The central element of The Sediment is the “Waste in Motion” installation, in which visitors activate sound and images using collected plastic waste. The week ends with a musical protest performance on instruments made of waste. Students, residents, and local organizations are actively involved through workshops, a think tank, and exhibitions ranging from archaeological waste to unique beach finds.

The project connects art and sustainability and turns a retail space into a meeting place for awareness, creativity and connection in the city.
